Your First Document

Learn how to upload documents and explore oklido's document management features.

Uploading a Document

Method 1: Drag and Drop

  1. Open your oklido dashboard
  2. Drag a file from your computer onto the browser window
  3. Drop it in the upload area
  4. Wait for processing to complete

Method 2: Browse Files

  1. Click the "Upload" button
  2. Click "Browse Files" or the upload area
  3. Select one or more files
  4. Click "Open" to upload

AI Document Classification

When you upload a document, oklido's AI automatically:

  1. Extracts text from the document
  2. Identifies the document type (quarterly report, capital call, etc.)
  3. Suggests the source (investment manager, bank, etc.)
  4. Extracts key dates and amounts

You can review and edit these suggestions before saving.

Document Types

oklido recognises these document types:

  • Investment Memo - Fund overviews and investment summaries
  • Quarterly Report - Performance updates and statements
  • Distribution Notice - Payout and dividend notifications
  • Capital Call - Funding requests from investments
  • Tax Document - K-1s, tax statements, certificates
  • Legal Document - Subscription agreements, amendments
  • Correspondence - Letters and communications
  • Other - Miscellaneous documents

Viewing a Document

Click on any document to open the preview:

  • Document Viewer - See the full document
  • Details Panel - View metadata and classification
  • Audit Log - See document history and changes
  • Download - Get the original file

Editing Document Details

To update document information:

  1. Open the document
  2. Click "Edit" in the details panel
  3. Update the title, type, source, or notes
  4. Click "Save"
